DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DAVE FEST!
DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DA DAVE FEST!
DAVE FEST! DAVE FEST!
DAVE FEEEEEESSSSST!

Well guys, here we go again, time to dust out your Daves from the wardrobe, dress them up all fancy and get your Daves down to Davefest! For the second time we’ll be hosted by the lovely people at Bar Loco (a mere Dave’s throw from St. Jame’s Park) where we’ll be bringing you 12 hours of eclectic, local music for free!

Wait, did I just read that correctly? Free? But it’s 2017! I can’t even go for a piss in the train station for free these days! Freddo’s cost 50p for flips sake! Yes my friends, these are dark days indeed. We here at Davefest have a ‘pay as you feel’ policy, in order to promote inclusivity and community (try it some time Theresa May). We are completely non-profit, with all our organisers and musicians volunteering their time FOR FREE to bring you a great day of music.

So where does the money go? This Dave fest we will be sharing the the money between two charities:
The Peoples Kitchen, a local soup kitchen which provides over 100 meals a day, 6 days a week, as well as clothing, bedding, advice and support to people who need it.

The Brain Tumour Charity is what it says on the tin. It raises funds to aid in the rehabilitation of individuals suffering from, you guessed it, brain tumours. Also does quite a lot for research and all that. It’s like bare important.

This is set to be our Davest Dave Fest yet, with Two Stages of Music, a Dave Raffle (come down and win yourself a Dave), Special drinks promotions (The inevitable return of the Dave White Russian, if you know, you know) as well as our usual merch and glitter stall (and hopefully some others if we pull our finger out in time: if anyone knows any stall holders who’d be up for appearing at this event, please get in touch!)

So get yourselves and your spare change down to Bar Loco from 2pm on Saturday the 25th of November, for some feel good, grass roots, community party vibes. Links to our fantastic muscial performers will follow soon, please give them a listen and a like in the run up to this event! If you’re feeling generous, why not even invite your pals, and share the Davefest love.

See you there you fabulous people,

Team Davefest

…….ORIGIN STORY PREQUEL: Davefest started about 2 years ago in a student house in Heaton, where a bunch of mates decided to throw a house party gig for local badass and all round good guy, Dave White. If you want to hear more, please find Dave on the day for a more detailed rundown. Unless Newcastle lose (It’s a match day), in which case he might not feel like talking to anyone.
